I think I'm finally ready to tell our story. Dr. Kristiansen is not authorized/cleared to work at any hospital. She can only operate in her clinic. This is important because if you develop OHSS like I did she cannot come to the hospital and administer treatment. Being that IVF is a very niche' speciality unfortunately most OBGYN's have not encountered a patient with OHSS. This was my case. I developed severe OHSS which was very obvious on the day of egg retrieval. I told Dr. Kristiansen that I did not feel well, had significant abdominal pain, distended abdomen and nausea while in the clinic. We later called her once we left the clinic because my symptoms had increased and I began to vomit. She told us I most likely did not have OHSS because I had not gained 5lbs during the cycle. Note, she does not tailor her treatment plan to the individual. This was a generic cookie cutter plan for at the time 10k. Which is negligent considering my labs indicated I was at high risk for OHSS. In addition, there was no educational guidance regarding OHSS from Dr. K. Only a small paragraph in the packet of papers they have you sign. Long story short, I was hospitalized for 7 days due to OHSS. When the second hospital admitted me the ER doctor called Dr. K and asked if she had credentials to work at any hospital because they would transfer me there. She did not have any credentials. Thus my doctors had to work together and consult with outside specialists for my care. This was a nightmare. I had elevated cardiac enzymes, my heart was in sinus tachycardia. All the while we did not receive one call from Dr. K's office. When I was finally discharged and called the office, the care coordinator Bianca's first words to me were "Oh wow, now you will have to pay 5k for the embryo transfer since you hyperstimed." EXCUSE ME?! I almost died last week and that's the first thing you say to me?! In that moment my mental health wall shattered. I had never expected that reaction. As if this was my fault. The lab never called us to update us on our embryo's. When we finally went back in the office for a f/u and to finish treatment planning the last we heard was we had 9 embryo's. Dr. K casually walked into the room and began speaking with us. She did not address the OHSS outside of "Wow, you've had a rough couple of weeks." She then proceeds to tell us the plan for a frozen transfer and says "You only have one embryo." I freaked out because we were under the impression we had 9. So we did all this to end up with one embryo! I immediately began to cry. Dr. K handed me a tissue and left the room. I swear this sounds like a Colleen Hoover book but it is not. Eventually Myrna the office manager called us and said they will transfer the embryo for $1k if it resulted in a positive pregnancy test. SPOILER... it did not. Which we knew was 99% chance it would not due to the OHSS. Most of those eggs in a OHSS cycle are not viable or healthy. In the end we left traumatized, broken and in debt. It took me several years to write this review because it was the most traumatic time of my life. While we understand there are risk involved with IVF, Dr. K and her staff were negligent in their lack of educational consulting, lack of credential to treat at a hospital, lack of empathy for the circumstances and poor treatment planning for specific patients. I only have Myrna to thank for her efforts in working on an agreement for the embryo transfer. FYI Dr. K does fresh transfers which are not typically done over frozen. Another way this office cuts cost. Our take away's are you get what you pay for. If the deal seems too good to be true it probably is. We recommend clinic shopping, doing your own independent research and then questioning that research. Present your findings to each doctor. Ask them how their plan is tailored to your specific needs. And most importantly make sure your doctor can treat you at a local hospital. We wouldn't recommend Dr. Kristiansen or this clinic but if you do use them please be careful. It can literally cost you your life.

Dr. Kristiansen and her staff are all wonderful. I was able to communicate with the staff regarding any questions I had threw emails and received a reply same day. Dr. Kristiansen explained all of my procedures in detail so I knew exactly what was going on every step of the way. Communication with the office about payments and scheduling exceeded my expectations! They were always one step ahead and prepared to give me the information I needed. Today after a year since our first treatment we are enjoying our triplets to the fullest 🥰.

Had a wonderful experience going through the egg freezing process with Dr. Sonja and her team. They are knowledgeable, supportive, and friendly. Myra, nurse & the treatment coordinator, was phenomenal. She helped me every step of the way. I look forward to continue my fertility journey with you all.

We went to Dr. K after seeing three other fertility specialists and having no luck with them. We were told by other fertility specialists that we had a 4% chance of getting pregnant and everyone said we could only do IVF. After getting Dr. K’s information from an acquaintance, we decided to call her and try one last place. Dr. K was professional and caring and explained we could try a new procedure called invocell. We decided to give it one last shot and we are so glad we did. We got three embryos with invocell, with Dr. K transferring one on the day they took out the invocell device. That little embryo stuck and we now have a beautiful 3 year old baby girl. We are so thankful to Dr. K for helping us complete our family with the miracle we never thought we would have. We owe so much to Dr. K and her staff. Blanca was a wonderful assistant and answered my million and one questions I had. She never seemed bothered when I would call. The staff always returned my calls in a timely manner as well. Insurance can be a tricky thing but they helped us navigate that as well. Thank you again to Dr. K for making our dream come true ❤️

All I can say is Thank You, Thank You, Thank You ! Dr. k and her Awesome Team guided us through the entire process with so much patience and compassion! They are a God Sent ! We are bumping into 2024 ! Also- as a licensed Physician Assistant, I did not see any red flags if any I felt love for their profession helped us a lot . We initially had a terrible experience at a different fertility’s specialist. Much love from the growing Garcia Family .
