My wife was fine on Clomid. The doctor changed medicine from Clomid to Letrozole because the doctor “thinks” it will be better for my wife. No, it caused polyps. We had to cancel the IUI but they still charged IUI. They wouldn’t take it off the bill. All they want is money and charge multiple times for their services.
Our experience at this fertility clinic was extremely disappointing. Instead of providing support and clarity during our IUI, they only added to our stress and confusion. Despite prior notifications about my husband's sample being dropped off months ago, they seemed completely unaware of its whereabouts on the day of the procedure. This chronic disorganization extended to their billing practices, where we were given false hope about IVF coverage, only to be told later that we didn't have it. Even as a healthcare professional myself, I found this level of disorganization completely avoidable.
Furthermore, Dr. Hickman, is clearly very intelligent, but he did not seem prepared during our appointments, despite repeated reminders about my medical history. This lack of attention to detail was frustrating and concerning. Additionally, we had to repeatedly send documentation, such as my husband's original SA results, which were consistently overlooked.
During the IUI process, there were further issues, including the need for my husband to drop off his sample twice without being informed of the additional cost each time. The inconsistency in recommendations, such as advising us to use all three vials of sperm but only using two during the procedure, was particularly distressing and left me in tears. During the IUI the 2 vials of his sample meant his count was lower than what is recommended and the 3rd vial would have increased the count to recommended levels. Why not use the 3rd vial when you are the one who recommended it? They admitted at the appointment that it was a “miscommunication” Imagine being on the table nude from the waste down and hearing they made a mistake right before the IUI. I was devastated. It almost felt like they wanted us to fail so we can come back again to use the final vial of sperm.
Overall, the disorganization and lack of communication at this clinic have turned what should have been a hopeful journey into a complete nightmare. I strongly advise others to avoid this place.
I regret to say that my experience with CCRM's egg retrieval process was extremely disappointing and fell far short of my expectations.
Firstly, the entire experience felt impersonal and purely transactional. Despite my initial excitement to work with Dr. McKnight, I was disheartened to only meet her twice throughout the entire process. Even more alarming was the fact that she didn't perform my procedure, a fact that was never communicated to me beforehand. Imagine meeting a male doctor the day of and feeling very lost, confused and alone.
Furthermore, the lack of interaction with my assigned nurse (we only communicated via phone) left me feeling like a complete stranger at every visit. In an experience as sensitive and emotionally charged as this, the absence of a personal connection only added to my discomfort and sense of isolation.
I took the time to express my concerns directly to Dr. McKnight through a letter, urging her to take necessary steps to prevent other women from experiencing the same sense of detachment and frustration. Every woman deserves a supportive and compassionate team during such a vulnerable journey.
As a result of my negative experience, I have made the decision to transfer to a different network for my fertility needs. I eagerly anticipate working with a team that prioritizes empathy and understanding, qualities that were sorely lacking in my time at CCRM.
I went here for IUI upon the recommendation of my OBGYN. Like others have stated, the billing is really difficult. The main reason I’m rating them as average is because a tech overlooked a latex allergy listed on my chart and inserted a latex condom when checking my ovaries. I had an allergic reaction and no one was understanding in the office (they didn’t have anything on had ie Benadryl) I had them print off my intake paperwork and it was listed on there. It was also in my chart, she had just overlooked it. During my first apt, they checked me and I also let them know of my allergy, it took them over 10 minutes to find a latex-free cover. My second IUI was ultimately successful and I have a beautiful baby boy, but the lack of attention to detail was/is concerning.
Not even sure where to begin on describing my experience with CCRM. They made what is usually a difficult experience into a fantastic one. They are top tier at communicating effectively, and acting quickly on delivering results that we so anxiously have to wait for in IVF. When you go to CCRM, from the very beginning you can see that you are in the BEST care possible in this industry. The front desk staff, all of the ladies who care for us in the clinic, the surgery center staff, my nurse Judy, and of course Dr. Hickman are the reason for such an amazing experience. If you are in need of a fertility clinic I would highly recommend CCRM for industry leading care.
