Updated Review for NewLIFE Fertility/New Leaders in Fertility & Endocrinology:
Original Review (Prior to April 4, 2025):
I’ve had a disappointing experience with NewLIFE Fertility in Pensacola. I called on Monday to schedule, gave all my info, and filled out forms, but nothing was scheduled by Tuesday. They asked for the same info again, and by Thursday—after five calls—I still had no date. They promise callbacks but rarely follow through, only communicating by phone with no email option. It’s a disorganized mess, worse than most government agencies. If you need fertility help, steer clear—this place will waste your time.
Update (April 4, 2025):
After my initial review, NewLIFE finally responded—but it got worse. On Friday, I got a voicemail claiming they’d given me an appointment date in a prior call, which never happened; I’d left a message saying it had been three days without scheduling despite daily calls. The voicemail had a date and time, but I couldn’t confirm. An email went to spam, and when I called, I got no answers. Later, the scheduler called to yell that my complaints were untrue, wouldn’t let me speak, and hung up after I pointed out their failures. They should listen and fix issues, not berate clients. Avoid this place unless you want chaos and attitude.
Update (April 10, 2025):
NewLIFE’s issues continue—they’re charging active-duty military members when they shouldn’t. I’m active duty, and TRICARE confirmed I should have no co-pay for my semen analysis, yet First Fertility’s coding led to a $95.00 charge under Z31.41. We updated it to N46.9, which should be covered per TRICARE’s policy, but they insist on coding after the procedure, risking more charges. They’re unresponsive—I called daily for a week with no answer, and they only replied after my poor review. I had an appointment for April 14, 2025, but they didn’t confirm using N46.9 by my deadline, so I switched providers. I contacted CRM Alabama LLC, scheduled my semen analysis in just five minutes, and they promised TRICARE would cover it with no charges—a stark contrast to First Fertility’s chaos. Military members, beware: First Fertility may charge you despite TRICARE’s policy. Avoid this place—it’s a disaster.
My wife and I cannot get them to respond to calls in a timely manner, i.e. one to two business days. We have a simple request. We want an itemized receipt or a CMS-1500 billing form to submit to our secondary insurance. They will not take our secondary insurance, but CHAMPVA will accept claims so long as the claim is sent with a proper receipt.
I have phoned them on several occasions and left messages in clear/concise language requesting the receipt or to call me back for further clarification. Nothing.
Do not recommend.
Dr. Ripps pushes IVF because it’s the money maker. Their office is unorganized. You’ll play phone tag for days/weeks. You’ll never have your records in your portal and if you ask for any they won’t ever do it. Your blood will get drawn in a hallway. They will put you on BC not to suppress your hormones but to put you on the same cycle as the other patients. If you ovulate early or late they consider you the problem because you don’t fit into their timeline/scheduling of patients. They don’t even do baseline ultrasounds/labs before meds.
They prescribed me certain meds and then told me I could never use them (using them with CRM now). NP Kaleigh told me not to worry about follicles ever getting too large. All research shows that 24mm+ follicles are over mature. They grew my follicles to 26 and 28mm! No wonder one became a cyst (causing me to go to the ER for excruciating pain) and the other one prematurely ruptured. NP Kaleigh first said my cyst was normal then the next month she said it was weird. I was NEVER going to get pregnant there and honestly that’s pretty traumatic. I’ve already been struggling for 2.5 years and to see medically trained specialists and finally get some answers, and then be treated this way, that’s awful!!
When I told them I was leaving, they didn’t even ask why or try to keep me as a patient. Rebecca just said good luck.
If you want real care from humans and not robots, go see Dr. Koulianos at CRM if you want excellent bedside manner, a doctor to explain to you research, science, processes, etc., friendly staff, organization, a portal/app with records, you name it, they excel in everything! CRM does everything that New Life fails at. I’m confident I will conceive with CRM and will update this review when that happens.
Update March 2025: I successfully conceived with Dr. K at CRM. Everything about CRM has been wonderful.
Our two youngest daughters are 14 and 8 years old. Pardon this review being about 14 years late. We saw specialist after specialist many years ago, five years of heart ache and discouragement. When we met Dr. Ripps and his treatment team, our lives changed forever. With his expertise and treatment plan, we were able to bring our two youngest daughters into this world. Our family is beyond blessed.
I spent some time reading these other reviews. Unfortunately, there are a few others out there that have a significantly disordered way of thinking and then decided to gift the world their toxic outrage online.
Thank you Dr. Ripps and team. We have promoted your clinic for many years thanks to our blessed experiences. I pray that your team knows every day that they are giving life to families every day. God bless you all. All the best, the Willis fam.
To the entire staff at NewLIFE,
Thank you for your top notch care during our fertility journey. During the most difficult of times, you showed us so much compassion and understanding. The nursing staff treated me so kindly and gently during my treatments. To the point that when we graduated on from the clinic, I was almost sad to go and leave the amazing staff behind. You made it easy to trust you. Thank you for holding my hand through our first failed cycles, our first failed IUI, and for celebrating with us after the second IUI was successful. We wouldn’t have this sweet, amazing, smart little boy without you. He just turned one last week. We are so grateful.
