DO NOT DONATE EGGS HERE. I donated eggs here in back in 2021 -- I was hospitalized due to OHSS due to the over-medication they gave me for my trigger shot. While they did pay for my hospital stay and ambulance, I feel the extreme pain and discomfort could have been avoided via proper prescription amount. I have since donated at other agencies and all the doctors were surprised at how much the doctors at UCSF prescribed me. There are better places out there

Run… don’t walk away from this clinic. It will cost you dearly. The doctors here do not care to diagnose patients correctly or address the cause of difficulty. They just coldly push you IVF and discard you if you don’t fit into their mold. Predatory money machine.

UCSF stands as a distinguished institution renowneda for its groundbreaking research and medical advancements. However, my experience at UCSF Fertility has left me deeply dissatisfied, particularly in terms of patient care. Regrettably, I cannot in good conscience recommend UCSF for egg freezing or IVF procedures. My foremost concern lies in the apparent lack of prioritization of patient well-being. Treatment at UCSF Fertility appears standardized and impersonal, lacking the necessary customization to address individual needs. The reliance on uniform dosages and treatment plans disregards the unique circumstances of each patient, leading to disappointing outcomes. Moreover, when results deviate from expectations, patients are unjustly blamed for these shortcomings. During my visits, I encountered a revolving door of different nurses, which contributed to a sense of detachment and inconsistency in care. Communication with physicians was alarmingly infrequent, with minimal interaction and only two opportunities to speak directly with a doctor, necessitating persistent advocacy on my part. Compounding these issues, there appears to be a concerning oversight in the monitoring of patients' progress. Blood work and scans are not given the necessary attention, and physicians are conspicuously absent during appointments, resulting in delayed feedback and hasty assessments of results. Consequently, adjustments to treatment plans are inadequately informed, leaving patients unsupported and uninformed. In conclusion, while UCSF undoubtedly excels in research and medical innovation, my experience at UCSF Fertility has left much to be desired. The lack of patient-centered care and inadequate attention to individual needs severely diminishes the quality of service provided. As such, I cannot recommend UCSF Fertility for those seeking fertility treatments.

We had a rough experience here. During the egg retrieval process and lead up, we only met with our doctor once for the initial consult, and saw a different nurse for every other visit. After my retrieval, we received horrible news via the portal with no explanation, call or message from our doctor or nurses. After messaging our doctor to ask for more info, we were told we could meet with him in a few weeks once we had the final results. We knew we would need to do another round already, but they would not meet with us sooner and we wasted a cycle waiting. Their proposed plan for a second round went against the advice from 2 other reputable clinics, and I’m convinced would have also failed as it is the protocol they put everyone on who they think has “egg quality” issues & is a bit outdated according to the other fertility doctors. We went with another clinic for the second round and had amazing results, it was night and day. I would not recommend CRH to anyone. They are still billing us extra & duplicate charges for the one failed cycle over 6 months later.

I don’t like to leave reviews anything less than 5 stars but I must admit, I am not having the best experience at this facility. Reading through other reviews, I’m seeing many other people having issues with communication and billing. I have experienced the same. Insurance doesn’t cover much of what they offer and the initial “estimate” we were verbally provided has now almost doubled. We’ve had to e mail the staff and thankfully get some of that waived. But for a facility of this stature, it is simply not acceptable. I regret being so optimistic and being more stern in the beginning about seeking clarity in the strategy and billing expectations. None of that is ever provided. I am grateful to be in a position to afford this expense but many families could experience major setbacks in their life plans simply by not having the clarity they deserve upfront and that doesn’t feel fair. My hope is the billing team reads this review, and all the others, and makes a commitment to being more empathetic of their clients/patients.
