I spent the last two months going through this clinic trying to get pregnant by frozen embryo transfer and one attempt ended in a chemical pregnancy and the other was just unsuccessful with no idea why. I had gone through one round of IVF in 2021 through another clinic and had my son (fresh embryo transfer, first try success at Fertility Center of San Antonio) and I regret not going back there. I chose UT because my insurance changed and I was needing to pay out of pocket for services. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. The communication here is everywhere and forget asking the nurses for anything, they don’t know much, everyone gets information from someone else or the doctor. My dr was Dr Scheken and he is a man of few words. I only spoke to him during the initial consult (maybe 10 min long), HSG testing, and sonograms. He’s kind but just doesn’t have anything really reassuring to say except for what he’s going to do and when. He doesn’t explain anything about your baseline results, just says everything looks good. At the other clinic I was given a thorough explanation of every test and sonogram done. After my failed transfers a nurse called and told me my results and to call back when I’m ready to try again. That’s it. I feel like I “wasted” perfectly good embryos and have no idea why. Was his timing wrong? Is there something else wrong with me? I don’t know but I’m going back to the FCSA next year when I get my insurance changed. I do not recommend this place to anyone dealing with infertility.

We have had a very pleasant experience with Dr. Schenken thus far. We had our consult on May 12th,2020 via video. I had an SHG done on 6/16/2020. Dr. Schenken found a polyp and removed it on 6/18/2020 And will be doing our embryo transfer the week of 7/27/2020 We have male factor infertility so we opted for embryo adoption. The clinic was able to accept our donated embryos with no issues. The cost is ridiculously inexpensive. $1130 for FET with everything else billed under my insurance. 20% coinsurance for SHG $54, Hysteroscopy was $270. I travel from Houston because the price was the best. The staff is incredible, Dolly, Lori, Stephanie, Lynette, Erica, Angelica, and everyone else is amazing! Once I get my positive pregnancy test I'm sending the biggest edible arrangement that I can find! Will update my review once I am pregnant! Update!!!! I got pregnant twice. The first time I miscarried but the second time I got pregnancy with twin girls who were born early and are now two weeks old!! I will return in a couple years for another transfer! THANK YOU UT!!! Another update! My twins are 2 years old now and we’re back for another baby with UT! Can’t wait to get started again. It won’t let me post a pic but I’m on instagram as sadiesadaz

The quality of care was not what I expected. I was always dealing with different nurses so none were familiar with my case. I rarely saw my actual doctor. One nurse called to tell me to start medication and wasn’t sure why the pharmacist had told me a different dosage. The next day, a different nurse called to change my dosage. It caused my cycle to be cancelled. Another time, no one called to start the medication so another cycle was cancelled. After my first beta, no one called for 4 days to tell me the results. I’ve switched clinics and I’m still dealing with UT sending me bills for storing nonexistent embryos. It’s been over 2 weeks since my first message through the portal and no one has responded. Everyone was nice but basically, you get what you pay for.

I went to this clinic November 2019, started oral treatment January 2020 and finally fell pregnant in May. I have a 8 month old now after trying for many years to have my first baby and I plan to return to the clinic to plan our next baby very soon. Dr.Knudtson was very kind and understanding of the situation my husband and I were in and the care didn't really change when the pandemic was just begining, I only missed one month (April) of treatment resulting in my pregnancy the very next month. I went back to this clinic this year (2022) to achieve pregnancy. I was seen by Dr. Yager who was very helpful and kind. We achieved pregnancy in our third month of using Letrozole and we are now expecting twins! I was never made to feel pushed to try any procedures or any other method that I wasn't comfortable with and I am very grateful to have gotten help to bring my babies into the world. Our twins will be here mid to late December.

This clinic is amazing. My doctor is Dr. Ibrahim and she is a Godsend. She is very thorough in testing and has great bedside manner. We did IVF and when my first transfer failed she called me personally with the results. Im now pregnant after the second transfer was successful. She made sure I got an ultrasound with her before I graduated from the clinic so she could personallt see my baby and congratulate me. I owe everything to her. The other main doctors at the clinic are fabulous as well. I think I saw each of them at least once for monitoring appointments.
